One of the things on my bucket list was a visit to the Dead Sea and float in its salty water. 2 years ago, I spoke to my best friend and told him about it. Now, time was finally come. After a visit to a cultural heritage site near the Dead Sea, Masada, – where I almost got paranoia because of the heat – we took the local bus to the nearest bathing spot at the Dead Sea.
It’s easy to go there from Jerusalem (and even from Tel Aviv). The most ‘local’ – Well, still full of Russian tourists – spot is Ein Gedi. Our bus driver to Masada, advised us to take another bus to Ein Bokek, and that was what we did. It was surround by a few Spa-hotels, but still really quite and peacefull.
