Pitti Uomo 2018 – Florence

Pitti Uomo is over for this season, which means a new blogpost! For me, it was the first time attending this trade show event! Trade show? Yes. Pitti Uomo is actually a trade fair for buyers to discover the new upcoming trends, collections, patterns and fabrics. It’s not the same as Fashion Week, however it has some similarities!

Just like during Fashion Weeks: blogger, buyers, stylists,… – influencial people in the fashion in general – attend Pitti. Different to Milan, London or Paris where everyone dresses the way he or she wants, in Florence it’s more about suits. Thinks ‘dandy kinda’-style.

It was crazy to experience. I didn’t even know there are so many brands! I went with my boyfriend, Matthias, but he attended Pitti several times before. We visited some  labels we love to work with and discovered some new ones.

One of the upcoming trends for next Summer are earth tones – which is less or more also taking its place this Summer. Another one was plaid & patterns, on everything: blazers, shirts, pants, etc. Pleated pants – on of my favorites – is also getting its spot next Summer!

Happely enough I had enough space for all my clothes in my new luggage from Thule. This Swedish travel brand had the philosphy that travelling is essential for every human being. Good gear is important for that, of course! Underneath you can find the photos of my looks during Pitti and shopping links  ;).
