Italy in one of my favorite European destinations. The excellent combination of friendly people, delicious food and sunny weather makes it a perfect getaway. I’ve seen many of the large Italian cities, but I had never spend any day near one of its beautiful lakes, or coastline. Last week, I was happy to visit the famous Como Lake for the first time and it exceeded my expectations.
The place reminded my of a combination of Saint-Tropez and Capri, because of its hill with colorful houses and great dinning spots near the water. If you’re looking for the perfect activity at Como, rent a wooden taxi boat and spend some hours on the Lake. Watch all the large castles near the water, which are most of the time used for weddings, or take some great photos – What we did as well of course.
It’s easy to get there from Milan. The train takes you in one hour from the central station of Milan to the Station of Como, 20 meters next to the Lake. Take a look at my photos below and dream away by the beautiful scenery of Como.
