The Amari Watergate Bangkok is situated in the heart of the city. It’s surrounded by several shopping malls and (night)-markets. It’s easy to get there from the airport by the metro or a Grab, which will cost you around 170 Bath.
As soon as getting in, the renewed lobby of 4 floors high gives you the feeling of coming home. The building counts 34 floors, which means: a lot of tourists. Many of them are Asian, as they love visiting Bangkok just for shopping. Less into this kind of leisure, but more into the cultural aspect of Bangkok? Don’t worry. Amari Watergate Bangkok is only 30 minutes away from al important sightseeing attractions of Bangkok.
When waking up and before entering the breakfast-lounge, prepare yourself for a lot of Thai ‘good mornings’ from the friendly staff. They’ll help you with everything you need. After this: breakfast! The breakfast will amaze you, as there are several international ‘corners’. From Italian to Thai and the more ‘mainstream’ intercontinental breakfast buffet.
On the 8th floor, you can find all the entertainment you need. We totally understand you would like to take a dive in the refreshing pool after walking around the city in (give or take) 45 degrees Celsius – Yes, speaking from our own experience. And haven’t burnt those Pad Thai or Mango juice calories yet? Check out the gym. It’s not the ‘everyday-hotel-gym’, it’s huge!
All rooms have a beautiful view over the Thai capital. Plus, the Amari is an ecofriendly hotel – which you can’t say about Thailand in general – they use plastic everywhere. It’s a perfect place for to relax from the chaotic, yet great vibe you’ll get from Bangkok!
