The Pulitzer is located in the heart of Amsterdam, established within 25 mansions of the 17th and 18th century and between two of Amsterdam’s most famous canals: the Prinsengracht & the Keizersgracht. It is easy to reach by taxi or public transport, but if you want to be a little extra, there’s always the possibility to arrive by boot.
If possible, try to book a room with Canal-view. It can be a bit more expensive, but once you see the view through the window, you won’t regret it. The next day, you’ll wake up with sun rays shining through your window (well, if it’s a clear day in Amsterdam), knowing that you’ll be able to eat home baked Dutch pancakes. Is there a better feeling? Furthermore, all other breakfast options at the Pulitzer are excellent as well, not only the pancakes.
You’ll be able to have breakfast at two different locations. Pause, this one is situated in the lobby of the Pulitzer, or Jansz. This restaurant is located in the Pulitzer building, but has an entrance at the Keizersgracht instead of the Prinsengracht. Apart from having breakfast there, it is also worth a visit during lunch or dinnertime. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. By the way, the white marble tables are a great setting if you’re looking for that perfect lunch picture.
The Pulitzer is the oldest five-star hotel of Amsterdam. Next to the charming interior and magnificent service, there are other reasons to stay here as well. For example, if you’re a sweet tooth, you’ll love the fact that you’ll receive small stroopwafel cookies every day when entering your room. Secondly, they’re using toiletries of Le Labo – If you don’t know Le Labo yet, you’ve found an extra reason to book you’re next stay at the Pulitzer. You will never want to shower with any other shampoo brand again. Sorry for that!
I hope all this convinced you to book your next stay at the Pulitzer when visiting the Dutch Capital. And if you’re looking for cool photo spots in Amsterdam, take a look on my Instagram!
